GBPLUS COMPLETED 4 BASEMENT FLOORS, EXCEEDED PLAN BY 20 DAYS

After a period of urgent and dedicated construction, on November 28, 2024, the GBplus Site Management Team completed the final concrete pour of over 5,000m³ for the basement section, officially sealing the four basement levels of the Office & Commercial Service Building project in Cầu Giấy, Hanoi. This milestone marked the completion of the basement phase 20 days ahead of schedule. It is a significant achievement for the structural construction package, highlighting the team’s relentless efforts and determination.

Despite numerous challenges during the construction process, the engineers and workers excelled in completing their tasks two weeks ahead of schedule, marking a major milestone in the project’s development journey.

Throughout the construction period, from the excavation phase to the underground structure, the Site Management Team worked tirelessly, mobilizing maximum resources and manpower to ensure the quality and progress of the project. Although the basement construction phase coincided with the rainy season and was affected by Typhoon Yagi, posing significant challenges, the team remained focused and determined. The engineers on-site worked intensively, prioritizing safety and quality at every step. As a result, the underground phase was completed ahead of schedule while meeting the strict safety and quality requirements set by the Project Management and Supervisory Consultant.

Final inspections were meticulously conducted before sealing the project’s basement levels.

Located in the Cầu Giấy district, one of Hanoi’s new financial-commercial urban areas, the Office & Commercial Service Building spans a gross floor area (GFA) of over 31,629m² on a 1,921m² plot of land. The project features four basement levels and a 27-story office tower constructed in compliance with LEED GOLD standards (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). This globally recognized green building standard adheres strictly to energy and environmental criteria. Once completed and operational, the office building will ensure energy efficiency and create a green environment by enhancing drainage efficiency, reducing emissions, improving environmental quality, and increasing the structure’s adaptability to environmental changes. Additionally, it will optimize the use of renewable energy, making it both eco-friendly and beneficial for human health.

Following the completion of the basement phase, GBplus is swiftly moving forward with preparations for the structural works of the superstructure, starting construction on typical floors. In the upcoming period, the sliding enclosure system for façades will replace the net enclosure system to enhance safety and minimize operational risks, while aluminum formwork for reinforced concrete components is being promptly installed. These efforts aim to improve control and the surface quality of poured concrete. With these advancements, construction progress will accelerate, and the team is determined to top out the project as per the schedule committed to the Investor.

After completing the underground phase, the GBplus team is actively advancing the construction of the superstructure. With unyielding determination, GBplus is confident in accelerating progress and achieving the next milestones ahead of schedule.
