The construction of Green buildings is becoming an inevitable trend in Vietnam, developing more and more year by year. This is not only a trend but also an important task for building a sustainable future and promoting the country. GBplus is always leading the way in change and development, that’s why GBplus has become a member of the Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC).

The Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC) was first established in 2007 and officially recognized by the Ministry of Construction in March 2009 to continuously raise awareness and develop the capacity in green buildings in Vietnam. As the sole representative member of Vietnam at the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC), VGBC composed and issued the LOTUS standard, playing an important role in assessing and certifying green building projects in Vietnam and bringing global sustainable development policies and giving priority to the Vietnamese construction industry, contributing to ensuring international consistency.

As one of the construction contractors leading in international integration, GBplus is aware of the impact of business activities on the environment. So, on the way to sustainable development, GBplus aims to not only co-create qualified projects, but also focus on keeping up with new technology trends, complying with international technical standards and committing to sustainable development through the application of the latest construction technologies and optimizing resources and pursuing an environmentally friendly policy. During the implementation process, the construction process is monitored to create less industrial waste and not to affect the environment and we also recommend Customers green design trends, use environmentally friendly materials, smart lighting and sanitation equipment, combined with BMS system to optimize electromechanical systems to minimize electricity and clean water consumption and use refrigerants that little induced less greenhouse effect.

According to VGBC, in addition to bringing high efficiency in using energy and materials, minimizing negative impacts on the environment, green buildings also help to minimize the negative impacts of the construction environment on human health through: using energy, water and other resources effectively; protecting the health of customers and improving labor productivity; minimizing waste, pollution and environmental destruction.

By becoming a member of VGBC, GBplus has the opportunity to expand our knowledge, catch up with news, and market changes through training programs, events, seminars, and workshops. Along with that, applying it to upcoming projects, providing the most comprehensive solutions to customers.

In Vietnam, the Government has issued many policies, legal documents, programs and plans to promote the usage of energy and resources economically and efficiently, protect the environment, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in socio-economic activities, including the construction sector. Through this certification, GBplus commits to participating in recomending the green project developments and  environmentally friendly construction materials, minimizing negative impacts on the environment, raising awareness and building resources to develop according to the green trend of the age with the aim to a sustainable construction environment, and green growth goals in line with the orientation of Planning, Construction, Management and Sustainable Development of Vietnamese Urban Areas and the Government’s programme of action to promote the development of green buildings.

We believe that becoming a member of VGBC is a striking example showing GBPLus’s sense of responsibility for environmental protection works. We are committed to contributing and supporting sustainable development, greening the construction process, contributing to environmental protection of the construction industry in Vietnam and join hands to build a greener future for the country and the world.
